Caster goes Glam

Hi Friends – I know that this is a Blog about Fishing, Cooking and all the Good Times that make living in a small seaside town so Wonderful  – but sometimes we have to take stock of the real world and get involved in what is going on around us.

Today, Caster Semenya’s gender test results are being released and I can’t help but feel a total sense of disgust over the handling of this whole affair.

Here we have an extraordinarily talented young woman, a teenager from a small rural village, who is being used and abused at every turn. Whatever her chromosomes or other invisible biological makeup is, she and others who have dropped her knickers – are certain that she is a woman.

Further more than that, she can be expected to know what is going on with her DNA, unless she has already been tested and is not disclosing the results.

Firstly, she is being abused by selfish politicians who do not give a flying hoot about her, other than that she has presented them with an opportunity to shake a sweaty, slimy fist at the “evil white man” and tirade for hours about racism when they themselves are racists of the highest order.

Hypocrites, cowards and fools.

Incompetent, greedy, good for nothings,  that have sweet talked their way and held onto  unearned political power, with unfulfilled promises and lies.

Every time that any of the motley crue is exposed for anything, their first cry is racism and how white people don’t want to see the black man succeed and how we can’t bear to see our beloved apartheid tower crumbled to dust, under dancing and singing African warriors.

Lets hope that President Zuma is going to make good on his promises, as he needs to clean house and get rid of the whole “Jobs for pals” system.

Caster Semenya has been treated  disgustingly by the system and that we need to re-evaluate our perceptions of human rights and make an about turn from the dark corridor that  political correctness has lead us into.

Sometimes we get bullied and emotionally blackmailed into accepting things that are just not right.

There are two sayings that sum up the present political climate of our modern world, one being

“(Q) What’s the definition of a racist ? (A) Anyone who is winning an argument against a liberal.

And then the delicious -

How can 35 hyhenas and 1 springbok, vote on what to have for dinner….. and still call it democracy?”

Both of those sum up perfectly, what is wrong with our present political and social ideologies.

1. That so-called liberals always claim the moral hi-ground and use it against anybody that may disagree with them or point out their faults.

2. That the majority always claim to be right.  Just because they are the majority, it does not give them any special powers or make them better than the minority – and as a member of a minority race group, it’s time that we started demanding more respect for our rights and our dignity.

Most times, the majority are being fooled by leaders who are nothing more than sweet talkers who dip a slimy tongue in your ear, whilst they put their crooked fingers into your pocket. In this case, our Sports administrators failed to properly plan their campaign for Gold by forgetting that the devil is in the details and that a manager is always responsible for failure, it’s a managers job to plan correctly and cunningly.

They left poor Caster to do all he work and did not show any extraordinary talent of their own.

When the wolf grabbed the piglet, what do they do ……. they shout RACISM…… and have the cheek to blame white South Africans for this.

Shame on you.

Why I felt obliged to make this point and talk politics in my blog, is that the whole world needs to learn a lesson by this and that we all need to take a good hard long look at our present beliefs and be brave enough to make the changes that are required.

After a long introduction and getting a bit carried away, this is what I was actually meaning to say.

Poor Caster Semenya, the brilliant athlete from Limpopo Province, in South Africa – the current 800m Women’s World Champion; is caught in the middle of a huge controversy over her what ? Her Gender.

Because there have been many male cheats who have previously competed as women, every International Sports Body on Earth is obliged to investigate any claims of trans-gender crookery.  They have done this before and they will continue doing it in the future.

It’s as simple as that.

Its not a race thing, as many white athletes have been tested and subsequently shamed. Many white athletes have been stripped of medals and exposed for their transgressions.

Why we are now being forced into having to accept what legally makes a person as a woman, is simple.

It’s because us humans, allow our genitals to rule over us with such stigma, embarrassment or shyness – and that it would be so “morally wrong” to simply have the athlete close their eyes and drop their panties, for an inspection; that we have been forced to resort to Blood Tests, DNA Tests, Chromosone Tests, Internal and External Examinations and whatever else it demanded by our perfect little world and our perfect little laws.

We force ourselves into the corner, opposite of those things we are too scared to confront. Never mind what is waiting for us in that corner !!

Now where does that lead us ?

I will tell you where it leads us, it leads up right up to the door of the Third Reich and it  forces us to perpetuate Hitler’s vision of a genetically perfect human race.

It conscripts us into an army of crazy, Frankenstein hunting, fascist and communist mobsters – who drag beauty queens off the winners podium and hangs her in the street, as her DNA and chromosomes have given her an unfair advantage over the rest of the field.

We storm Stephen Hawkings home and burn him in the streets, as his DNA and Chromosomes and superior intelligence has given him an unfair advantage – forgetting that he suffers from a crippling disadvantage in ever other aspect of his life.

Who are we to believe that we have the moral authority to say who is woman enough, or woman too much.

Especially a woman, who was accepted as an entrant and was allowed to run and who won.

Are we such sore loosers that we can’t accept when we have been beaten, and such cowards that we don’t posses the belief that we can then train harder, study harder and then try again – and even accept that second or third defeat gracefully.

Everybody looses at something at some point.

If Caster Semenya was not such a brilliant athlete and remained a simple, dirt poor village girl from a neglected part of Africa – she most probably would have lost at every other aspect of life.

It’s unlikely that she would have been swept away by a prince, is unlikely that she would have managed to educate herself to the extent where she could have earned a fortune in the business world.

I highly doubt that she would have lived the comfortable life,  that we all take for granted – and is defined in African terms of eating more than once a day.

But one time she wins, she is cast before a jury,  that in their delusions of grandeur,  claim to know what constitutes a woman and even more disgustingly will announce with glee and self-importance that “Caster Semenya is a Woman” or that “Caster Semenya is not a Woman”

If she has a cookie, she is a woman – finished and klaar (plain and simple)

Until the world has specific races for people, classified into different chromosome groups, they had better shut up when they want to use chromosomes and DNA to prop up their hypocritical opinions.

Anyone that has the first thing to say about “unfair advantage” or chromosomes or DNA – and is not prepared to take on beauty queens, scientists, successful businessmen, talented singers or even Oprah – needs to re-evaluate their motives.

Thanks to You Magazine, for their efforts in giving Caster a makeover and showing the other side of Caster Semenya, that being  the beautiful African Woman that she is.

Her strength and dignity throughout this whole ordeal will be what is remembered.

I will use her story to teach my children how to treat people and how to hold their heads up high in adversary.

No matter what comes out in the biological reports, as long as she had no idea, I will stand by her.

Caster Semenya, our World Champion – I am proud of you my sister.
