I am from South Africa and the World Cup Vibe is absolutely Electric at the Moment. Vuvuzelas everywhere you turn.

Here is something that gave me a real chuckle. Some cartoonists just nail it on the …er…head

Caster Semenya World Champion

Caster Semenya World Champion

I would like to state how disgusted I am at the way that people have been gossiping about  our World Champion Caster Semenya.

Thats all that it boils down to, Malicious Gossip.

For those who do not know, Caster Semenya is a world class athlete who has just won a Gold Medal and is thus the World Champion in the 800m.

But instead of the world celebrating her victory, gossipers and know-it-alls have all jumped upon the bandwagon and selfishly stolen the moment that this extraordinary young woman has worked so hard for.

Pirates Capsize Manchester City 2-0

Congratulations to our beautiful Buccaneers, Orlando Pirates on a fantastic game against the visiting, Manchester City.

As part of the celebration of Nelson Mandel’as birthday, the Peter Mokaba stadium was filled to capacity and the visiting team was treated to a warm South African greeting when they arrived.

Pirates played a great game and with the support of the Buccaneers cheering fans, Manchester city did not have a chance against a fired up Orlando Pirates.

Lucas Thwala hit the back of the net, with a free kick in the 35th minute and the crowd went mad, which fired the Buccaneers up and made them hungry for another goal.

That goal came in the 55th minute when the hero of the day, Lucas Thwala slipped another one past the Manchester City goalkeeper – to double the hosts lead.

A spectacular day was had by all and we thank Manchester City for travelling so far and for their wonderful sportsmanship on this very special day.

South African soccer is just getting better and better and it looks like the bookmakers are in a tailspin, trying to work out Bafana Bafana’s chances of victory in 2010.

Our teams deserve our support and I am looking forward to the best world cup ever.
